Amberwell proudly celebrates Respiratory Care Week, October 19–25, by recognizing the skilled and compassionate professionals on our Respiratory Care teams at Amberwell Atchison and Amberwell Hiawatha.
This year, the team marked the occasion with custom-designed shirts bearing the message, “Breathe Easier”—a simple phrase that speaks to the relief and comfort these professionals provide to patients every day.
Outpatient nasal suctioning services for infants continue to be an essential offering at Amberwell Atchison. Designed for children under 24 months experiencing bronchiolitis or similar respiratory symptoms, this service requires a referral from any primary care provider and fills a critical need in our region.
Amberwell’s Respiratory Care professionals support patients of all ages, from newborns in distress to older adults managing chronic lung conditions. Their work spans inpatient and outpatient care, from monitoring oxygen levels to managing ventilators, and from administering medication to providing patient and family education.
