An elegant celebration — and a night of giving — for the future of cancer care and healthcare in Atchison.

Presented by the Amberwell Health Foundation • Benefiting Building Hope
A night of giving

More than an evening out

Yes, it will be an elegant evening — the music, the candlelit tables. But the elegance isn’t the point. It’s the celebration around the point.

At its heart, this is a night of giving. The Amberwell Health Foundation is hosting this evening to raise funds for the Building Hope campaign at Amberwell Atchison — bringing cancer care, expanded rehabilitation, and additional specialty services close to home, where they belong.

Sold out, but not closed

Two ways to still be part of the night

Ticket Waiting List

Add your name, in case a seat opens

Every seat for Aug. 29 is claimed, but plans change. As guests let us know they are not able to attend, we fill those seats from the waiting list. We would far rather have your name ready than leave a chair empty.

Everyone on the list hears from us no later than Aug. 15, whether a seat opens or not.

Envelopes for Hope

Open to everyone, seat or no seat

Each envelope holds $100 to $500 in gift cards, certificates, passes, and experiences, and every envelope’s contents are listed so you can choose the one you want.

Entries are $20 and open Friday, Aug. 14. You do not need a ticket, and you do not need to be in the room to win.

Envelopes for Hope
Where your generosity goes

One night. A lasting gift.

Cancer Care

A chemotherapy and infusion program so treatment happens here at home — not at the end of a long drive.

Rehabilitation

A purpose-built space where neighbors rebuild their strength after injury, surgery, and heart events — and rebuild their hope.

Every gift to Building Hope is matched, dollar for dollar, through a generous matching gift — so your generosity counts twice.
Rick Berger, inaugural Communitas Award recipient
The Communitas Award

Honoring Rick Berger

Few people have shaped Atchison the way Rick Berger has. For decades, he has been the steady hand behind the institutions and efforts that make this a community worth belonging to — leading when leadership was needed, giving without seeking credit, and quietly drawing others into the work alongside him.

This inaugural evening debuts the Communitas Award, and there is no one more fitting to be its first recipient. For many of our guests, the chance to celebrate Rick will be reason enough to be in the room.
