Amberwell Atchison earned high marks from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for patient experience, based on HCAHPS survey results from Q2 2024 through Q1 2025.
The hospital received five-star ratings in Communication with Nurses, Communication about Medicines, and Quietness of Hospital. It also earned four-star ratings in Communication with Doctors, Discharge Information, Overall Rating of Hospital, and Willingness to Recommend the Hospital. The hospital’s overall patient experience rating was four stars.
These scores reflect feedback directly from patients in our community about their hospital stay.

HCAHPS surveys measure how patients rate communication, responsiveness, and overall care during their stay. Hospital leaders credit the results to the teamwork of caregivers and support staff who serve patients and families every day.
