Amberwell Health proudly joins the national celebration of Medical Assistants Week. During this week, we recognize the outstanding Medical Assistants and Patient Care Technicians who serve across our locations in Atchison, Hiawatha, Highland, Horton, Lansing, and Troy.
These team members play an essential role in patient care and clinic operations. While their responsibilities may overlap, each role brings distinct strengths that support Amberwell’s mission to provide high-quality, coordinated care.
Medical Assistants support both administrative and clinical functions. From managing schedules and documentation to assisting with exams and procedures, they help ensure that visits run smoothly and patients feel prepared and informed.
Patient Care Technicians focus on direct patient care. They are often the first to assist when patients arrive, offering support with vital signs, mobility, and other hands-on needs that help keep patients safe and comfortable.
Together, these professionals form a critical part of our care teams. Their coordination, attention to detail, and compassion help create a welcoming and efficient experience for every patient.
