October 5 through 11, Amberwell celebrates our materials management teams for National Healthcare Supply Chain Week. The work they do is essential for keeping our medical facilities well-equipped to deliver excellent care.
These teams work behind the scenes to make sure every department has what it needs to care for patients. The procurement team manages supplies and equipment—building relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, processing orders, and tracking deliveries. Our materials supply specialists keep things moving by receiving and organizing inventory, removing expired items, and quickly fulfilling supply requests. And our medical courier connects it all, making sure that things get where they need to go between our Amberwell locations.
To celebrate the week, the team designed their own t-shirt featuring a Rosie-the-Riveter-inspired design with the phrase “It’s not for the weak.” The bold image and statement are a perfect nod to their tenacity, teamwork, and determination. Every day, they tackle demanding, detail-driven work that keeps our facilities ready to deliver quality care.
