Bella Birdashaw, DNP, FNP-C, is an emergency care provider at Amberwell Hiawatha. Bella brings more than two decades of clinical experience to her work in emergency care. Board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner since 2008, she has practiced across emergency departments, hospitalist programs, urgent care settings, and a critical access hospital throughout Kansas and Missouri. She has been part of the Amberwell Hiawatha Emergency Care team since July 2022.
Alongside her clinical work, Bella has spent more than a decade in nursing education, holding faculty and academic leadership roles — including program director and division chair of nursing — at universities in the Kansas City, Missouri and Leavenworth, Kansas areas.
Bella has served on the Kansas State Board of Nursing’s Education Committee and on regional workforce and advanced practice task forces through the Mokan Leadership Group and the Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National League for Nursing, and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties.
