Donating blood saves lives. Of all the ways people give back to their communities, this may be one of the most critical. A newborn baby, a mother after childbirth, a teenager injured in a car accident, or a patient fighting cancer—any one of them may need blood at a moment’s notice. We don’t know who will need it, but we do know someone does every day. One donation can help save up to three lives, and those lives may belong to a neighbor, a friend, or someone you love.
Many people choose to donate regularly as a simple way to give back. Others donate once in honor of a loved one whose life was saved by a blood transfusion. However you choose to give, your donation makes a real difference—and it’s deeply appreciated by those whose lives depend on it.
