Acute Care Service

To better meet the needs of patients who need care for acute illness such as fever, minor cuts, or sore throat, Amberwell Primary Care offers options for non-emergent care from one of our primary care providers. Patients can see the first available provider throughout the day and during extended evening and weekend hours. 

• Call before you come.
  

  Call before you come in to get scheduled for a priority acute care appointment. When you call for an acute care appointment, you will be prioritized for a same-day or next-day time slot or we may be able to see you at another nearby Amberwell primary care location.

• Don’t wait for walk in care.
  

  Instead of spending hours waiting for a potential opening for unscheduled care, it is best to call before you come to get a scheduled time with our acute care providers. There are limited time slots available each day for unscheduled care. If you walk in without an appointment, you may be scheduled for a later time that day or the following day or may be offered an appointment at a different Amberwell location.
