Our surgical technologists are invaluable, and they work together in an ensemble effort that ensures each patient receives the best care possible, from initial assessment to recovery.
Broad Spectrum of Services
The first point of contact often starts with our patient access representatives, who help to schedule appointments and answer questions that patients and their families may have.
Our physician assistants and nurses are frequently the next point of contact, serving in both the clinic and surgical settings. They offer critical services such as assessment and diagnosis, coordinating closely with the surgeon and assisting in the operating room.
Patients enjoy cutting-edge surgical care at Amberwell, with a surgery team led by General Surgeon Roderick Warren, MD, FACS. With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Warren is known for his open and direct patient approach and for his expertise with surgical treatment for GERD, hysterectomy and breast surgery, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and many other surgical procedures.
Safe and Coordinated Care
Safety is a top priority for every procedure. Surgical technologists play a key role in ensuring that all equipment is sterilized and prepared, allowing surgeons to operate more efficiently. Meanwhile, our anesthetists are responsible for managing pain and ensuring patient comfort throughout surgical procedures.
In cases where further therapy or care is needed post-surgery, coordination with rehabilitation therapy ensures that the patient's road to recovery is as smooth as possible. And, when overnight or extended stays are necessary, the surgical team collaborates with inpatient care units to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Answering Questions and Providing Guidance
Throughout each stage of surgical care, the team fields questions from both patients and families. Undergoing surgery can be a stressful experience, and the surgical team is committed to clear communication and emotional support throughout each phase of care, from pre-operative consultations to post-operative follow-ups.
