To better meet the needs of patients who need care for acute illness such as fever, minor cuts, or sore throat, Amberwell Primary Care offers options for non-emergent care from one of our primary care providers. Patients can see the first available provider throughout the day and during extended evening and weekend hours.
- Call before you come.
Call before you come in to get scheduled for a priority acute care appointment. When you call for an acute care appointment, you will be prioritized for a same-day or next-day time slot or we may be able to see you at another nearby Amberwell primary care location. - Don’t wait for walk in care.
Instead of spending hours waiting for a potential opening for unscheduled care, it is best to call before you come to get a scheduled time with our acute care providers. There are limited time slots available each day for unscheduled care. If you walk in without an appointment, you may be scheduled for a later time that day or the following day or may be offered an appointment at a different Amberwell location.
