A check for $4,000 was presented to the Race Against Breast Cancer organization today, from funds raised by an employee pink t-shirt fundraiser and other activities organized by the Amberwell radiology services team.
RABC pays for mammograms and ultrasounds for those in need of financial assistance in northeast Kansas. Their no-cost mammography program has helped many in our communities receive regular mammograms. “It’s wonderful to see women get mammograms regularly who normally wouldn’t be able to,” says lead mammography technologist Angie Brown. “We see at least one patient a week through the RABC program and many who return yearly, which is ideal for early detection of breast cancer.”
Our employees were honored to be able to give back to an organization who helps our area communities with this important health screening. Thank you, Race Against Breast Cancer!
