Emergency care at Amberwell Atchison includes labs, x rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic tests that are read quickly and accurately to allow for faster diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of illnesses, including:
- Stroke–Emergent Stroke Ready Hospital designation
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Broken bones
- Abdominal pain
- Lacerations

Meet our skilled professionals
The Amberwell Emergency Department has an around-the-clock team of physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice providers who are highly skilled and experienced in emergency medicine. Working with the medical providers are registered nurses certified in basic and advanced life support, emergency pediatric nursing, and trauma nursing. Respiratory therapists and radiology and lab techs are available in house 24/7 to assist in meeting your emergent healthcare needs.
