Kristen J. Manning-Kadlicek, NP-C

Nurse practitioner Kristen Manning-Kadlicek is an emergency care provider at Amberwell Hiawatha. Kristen, a native of Sabetha, Kansas, began her career in healthcare as a technician in the emergency department at Amberwell Hiawatha. She was happy to return to serve as a nurse practitioner at the same organization that has taken such great care of her family members over the years.

On choosing Amberwell…

“When I was a child, my mom worked at Amberwell Hiawatha,” shared Kristen. “She has now worked there for nearly thirty years. Growing up, I knew that if I chose a career in medicine, I wanted to work at Amberwell Hiawatha because of the way they took care of my family members with chronic conditions time and time again. I wanted to work with the same organization and provide the same level of compassionate care that was provided to my family members.”

On becoming a nurse practitioner…

“My mom, who has been a nurse for forty years, inspired me to become a nurse,” said Kristen. “She is an excellent nurse. After working as an RN for three years, I decided to advance my medical career and become an emergency department advanced practice registered nurse.”

On being patient-centered…

Background

Kristen earned an Associate Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. She then received a Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. During her medical career, Kristen has worked as a registered nurse in med/surg ICU at the University of Kansas Health System–St. Francis campus in Topeka, Kansas and as a technician and a registered nurse in the emergency department of Amberwell Hiawatha. She has served as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department of Amberwell Hiawatha since June 2020.

About Kristen

Kristen married her husband Michael in October 2020. They enjoy going on vacations together and spending time with family and the family dogs. They are currently building their dream home. Kristen’s other hobbies include watching reality television, reading, and gardening in the summer.
