As we celebrate National Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week, we want to spotlight the excellent teams at Amberwell Atchison and Amberwell Hiawatha. Leading the charge are Director of Nutrition and Food Services and Registered Dietician Lindsey Smith in Atchison and Manager of Food and Nutrition Services Mark Nenadov in Hiawatha. Their outstanding leadership ensures our patients, staff, and guests receive top-notch dietary care.
It takes multiple team members for food and nutrition services to run smoothly and efficiently. Our dietary clerks maintain kitchen records and take patient meal orders, while our café hosts and hostesses take meals to patients and serve staff and visitors in the café. Our café attendants keep items stocked in the salad bar, fruit bar, and coffee areas in between warmly greeting our staff and guests and ringing up their items. And let’s not forget our cooks, carefully crafting each meal and ensuring dietary needs are met whether it’s in our café, for our patients, or while providing catering services for meetings and events. This hardworking team not only fulfill their individual job responsibilities in the café but also work together to maintain the cafe’s cleanliness. Every role is essential in delivering high-quality nutritional services. We appreciate these exceptional individuals so much!
