In celebration of National Pharmacy Week, we are excited to share about the recent opening of Amberwell Pharmacy at both our Amberwell Atchison and Amberwell Hiawatha locations! Amberwell Pharmacy is a full-service retail pharmacy offering medications to patients and community members.
Amberwell Pharmacy provides a range of convenient services. Patients can pick up their medications quickly following clinic appointments, and those discharged from inpatient care can have their medications delivered to their bedside before leaving the hospital. Additionally, we offer hassle-free onsite prescription pickup, curbside pickup service, and online refills. We accept most major insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
During this Pharmacy Week, we thank Amberwell Pharmacy Director Nealy Stemple and the entire pharmacy team for their commitment to seeing that our communities’ medication needs are met with professionalism and care. Our pharmacy managers lead the day-to-day operations to ensure our customers receive top-notch service. Our pharmacists carefully prepare the proper dosages and offer essential advice on medication usage. Our pharmacy technicians work efficiently to support our pharmacists, dispensing medications, processing insurance claims, and maintaining inventory to promptly meet customers’ needs. Together, they provide exceptional pharmacy services for all.
We also recognize our inpatient pharmacy teams, led by Directors Sarah Noll at Amberwell Atchison and Zane Hoffman at Amberwell Hiawatha, for their dedication to inpatient medication needs. They maintain up-to-date medication lists, attend rounds to address provider and patient concerns, champion for antibiotic stewardship, excel in medication management, and make informed medication therapy recommendations for our hospitalists to optimize patient care. Our pharmacy technicians ensure smooth operations by stocking cabinets, equipping emergency carts, and preparing IV mixtures. The pharmacy buyer maintains inventory and compliance with pricing programs. The team also supports clinics in Highland, Horton, Troy, and Lansing, as well as community providers like dentists, ophthalmologists, and EMS, promoting community health.
