In honor of National Healthcare Facilities and Engineering Week, October 22 to 28, we are celebrating our maintenance services teams. These teams play an integral role in ensuring a safe environment for all. Every patient, guest, and staff member benefits from their dedication. It’s their attention to detail that keeps our buildings and grounds in top shape, ensuring we consistently meet patient needs.
Leading the way, Director of Facilities Grant Rogers takes charge of daily operations at Amberwell Atchison and clinics in Atchison, Horton, Lansing, and Troy. Likewise, Director of Facilities Phil Scheitel spearheads efforts at Amberwell Hiawatha and Amberwell Highland Clinic. Together, they work diligently to maintain our facilities at the highest regulatory standards. With keen oversight of the staff and infrastructure, they work side-by-side with clinical departments, handle vendor communications, and keep us ready for any emergencies.
Our maintenance engineers ensure that our facilities and equipment are in optimal working order. These professionals collaborate closely with clinical staff, consistently focusing on safety and regulatory measures. Their efforts ensure that our buildings and grounds stand ready to support exceptional patient care.
Our biomedical technicians ensure that every medical device, from blood pressure monitors to MRI machines, remains safe, functional, and reliable.
At the helm of physical upkeep are our maintenance supervisors, who ensure a secure and operational environment for everyone. Their efforts ensure Amberwell stands as a hallmark of quality and excellence in healthcare.
Our maintenance services teams handle everything from plumbing and electrical issues to carpentry and painting tasks. Their versatility is evident as they collaborate with vendors for specialized tasks and respond promptly to maintenance calls. Besides these core duties, these wonderful teams support various departments at Amberwell in numerous ways, including setting up for events and promoting Amberwell activities throughout the community.
As we observe this special week, our gratitude goes out to the maintenance services teams at Amberwell. Your dedication plays a significant role in our commitment to quality healthcare. Your contributions not only ensure our organization’s smooth operation but also make a difference in our community. You are an essential part of our healthcare team, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for all you do!
