Amberwell athletic trainers function as a critical connection between athletes and healthcare providers at seven area schools and at Highland Community College. These certified professionals are not just trainers; they are vital in keeping our athletes healthy and assist with everything from preventing injuries to helping with recovery.
They are a constant presence at sporting events, from baseball diamonds to the wrestling mat. When injuries happen, they assess severity and decide on the best course of action, always with the athlete’s safety and well-being in mind. Our trainers have the keen insight to recognize when an athlete’s injury requires the attention of an orthopedic specialist and help coordinate care with healthcare providers if needed.
The contribution of Amberwell’s athletic trainers goes beyond game day. Through weekly injury clinics and ImPACT testing, they collaborate tirelessly with coaches, athletic directors, and parents always pursuing exceptional quality of care for young athletes.
By recognizing the dedication of our athletic trainers during March, National Athletic Training Month, we are celebrating their continuous commitment to health, their positive influence on young lives, and their key role in Amberwell’s goal to provide caring, focused orthopedic treatment.
At Amberwell we appreciate and give special thanks to our athletic trainers for their efforts to make sure athletes can follow their dreams safely and get back in action as soon as possible.
