Maureen Asher, PTA, retired on December 17, 2021, after thirty-four years of service as a physical therapy assistant at Amberwell Atchison. Maureen has always found great joy in helping patients succeed. “I have been very fortunate to spend thirty-four years doing what I love,” said Maureen. “I have met so many wonderful people. To all my patients and co-workers, words cannot express what you have meant to me. I will miss you tremendously! Thank you for being a part of my life!”
Maureen was hired in 1987 as a physical therapy aide. In 1991, she took on increased responsibility as a PT aide/tech, and in 1993, she was promoted to physical therapy assistant. In 2017, Maureen also began providing physical therapy services for Amberwell Health at Home.
In her retirement, Maureen looks forward to doing some traveling with her husband and family, spending time with her grandchildren, and working in her yard—tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. “I may even find a new hobby,” said Maureen. “I am ready for the next chapter in my life!”
Thank you, Maureen, for your thirty-four years with Amberwell Atchison. You will be greatly missed by your patients and co-workers. Best wishes in your retirement!
