Congratulations to Karl Schuele, the latest graduate of our Swing Bed program! Although we have enjoyed his visit with us and will miss having him around, we are so happy that Karl will be home for Christmas!
Amberwell’s Swing Bed program acts as a bridge for patients who are not quite ready to return home, even after their acute care has ended. We provide 24-hour, skilled-nursing care, therapy services, and patient-centered activities to help patients regain their independence, return home, and get back to their normal day-to-day activities. This program is for patients who have been hospitalized at Amberwell Atchison or other facilities outside the Atchison area.
