We’ve experienced unusually high flu numbers this season and there is a nationwide shortage of treatment medication available for this viral disease. We hate seeing so many of our community members sick–we know it’s rough to deal with the nasty symptoms of flu for the 7-10 days it takes to get better.
We’ve discovered that the majority of our flu patients did not get their flu vaccine this year, so we’re providing a convenient flu shot opportunity to give our community a chance to protect themselves and their loved ones from the flu.
This year’s flu vaccine has been highly effective in fighting the strain of flu that’s been going around.
Flu shots are being offered at a special event on Wednesday, December 21st from 1pm to 4pm in the primary care area of Amberwell Atchison.
Everyone 6 months and older can get a flu shot, as long as you do not have a fever or symptoms. No registration or appointment is required and flu vaccines are free with most insurance plans.
