The Amberwell Atchison Volunteers is a dynamic, fun-loving group of individuals who help provide much needed support to Amberwell Atchison and the Atchison community.
Each year they dedicate hours of their time, energy, and skills to making a difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.
At Amberwell Atchison, our Volunteers have responsibilities like greeting and helping patients and visitors at the lobby information desk and assisting in the surgical waiting room and the Sunflower Gift Shop. Each fall, they run a popular Craft and Bake Sale that almost always sells out.
The Volunteers host their own blood drives in the community and help Amberwell’s blood drives to run smoothly. They also coordinate an annual golf tournament and manage the Twice Is Nice Thrift Store in downtown Atchison.
The proceeds of their fundraisers go toward purchasing new medical equipment for Amberwell Atchison and toward the Amberwell Atchison Volunteers Scholarship Program.
