Happy National Hospitalist Day! The role of hospitalist originated in the late 1990s as a way for providers to spend focused time caring for hospitalized patients. The hospitalists at Amberwell Atchison and Amberwell Hiawatha provide personalized, one-on-one care. They monitor you during your stay and are accessible in case of an emergency. They work closely with therapists, dieticians, pharmacists, staff, and technicians participating in your treatment to ensure you are getting the care you need to recover as safely and completely as possible.
