We are excited to announce that Dr. Caridad Padron officially joined the medical staff at Amberwell Atchison on January 25th. Dr. Padron is an internal medicine physician who first joined the Amberwell team in November of 2021 as a temporary hospitalist. She was so impressed with the atmosphere and staff at Amberwell Atchison that she decided to join the team as a hospitalist on a permanent basis. Dr. Padron earned her medical degree from Avalon University School of Medicine in Willemstad, Curacao, located in the Caribbean. She completed her residency at Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership in Athens, Georgia, where she was named Resident of the Year two years in a row and received the Nurses’ Choice Award.
Dr. Padron’s inspiration to become a doctor came from her love of the complexity of medicine and her desire to help people. She looks forward to providing patient-centered care to the residents of Atchison and its surrounding areas.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Padron enjoys hiking, traveling, exercise, and spending time with family and friends.
