We are excited to announce that Joseph Asher, MD, has joined the primary care team at Amberwell Atchison. Dr. Asher provides care to patients of all ages and health conditions. He is a great communicator and easy for patients to talk to. One of his strengths is his ability to explain complex health issues to his patients so that they can make informed medical decisions in order to achieve their health goals.
Dr. Asher has had personal ties to Amberwell Atchison his entire life. “My grandfather Jim Asher was the administrator at Amberwell Atchison for twenty-eight years, and my mother Aggie Asher has been a social worker for Amberwell Atchison for over thirty years,” said Dr. Asher.
A large part of what drew Dr. Asher to Amberwell was the overall vision of the organization. “I had heard about the growth happening at Amberwell and their vision for healthcare in rural Kansas, and when the opportunity presented itself, I was more than excited for a chance to join the team.”
