Amberwell Health Atchison
We believe that no one should delay seeking medical care because they lack insurance or have high medical costs. We are committed to ensuring that you understand the billing process and are aware of financial assistance options.
During your care, charges will be made to your account based on the services that you receive. These charges are based primarily upon the orders that your physician has made regarding your medical care. Charges for all hospital services will be reflected on an itemized bill, which is available at your request. We accept cash, money orders, cashier or personal check and all major credit cards. If you are unable to pay your bill, or would like to set up a payment plan, please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
You may also be billed by your primary physician, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists, emergency department physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners to name a few. They will bill you separately from the hospital.

You will need to bring your health insurance card with you to the hospital. All patients should familiarize themselves with the terms of their insurance coverage. You will be asked to sign a form assigning all insurance benefits to Amberwell Health. This will allow us to submit a claim to your insurance company and collect money on your behalf. When the amount you owe has been determined by the insurance company, you will receive a statement from our billing company, TruBridge. You will continue to receive monthly statements from TruBridge as well as intermittent phone calls for approximately 120 days or until the balance is paid in full or a payment plan has been set up. If payment plan arrangements or payment in full has not been received, you will receive a final notice and be subject to further collection processes. We encourage payment in full but understand that is not always possible.
