Estacia Sinclair, FNP-C

Estacia Sinclair, FNP-C, is a primary care provider at Amberwell Atchison. Estacia brings a strong foundation of experience to her role. With a background that includes working as an ER nurse and a focus on acute care, she has developed a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to patient care. Estacia is committed to helping her patients feel supported and well cared for.

On Choosing Amberwell
Estacia has always felt a strong connection to her community. After moving to the U.S. from New Zealand, she attended high school in Topeka before settling in Effingham in 2013. While raising her children in Effingham, she continued her nursing education. Estacia knew she wanted to work close to home and make a difference locally. “During my clinical rotations at Amberwell,” she recalls, “I was impressed by the level of care and compassion I observed among the staff, nurses, and providers. The way everyone genuinely cares for the community really inspired me to pursue my education and serve here.”

On Becoming a Nurse Practitioner
Inspired by her mom and aunt, who are both nurses, Estacia began her healthcare journey with a CNA certification, gradually building her career through hard work and dedication. Her time as an ER nurse gave her valuable experience and helped her develop a strong interest in acute care. “I enjoy the hands-on aspect of acute care,” she explained, “where I can work to fix problems and help patients see real improvements—it’s incredibly rewarding.”

On Patient Care
Estacia emphasizes the importance of listening to her patients. “Taking the time to listen and understand patients’ concerns is one of the most important things I can do as a provider,” she said. “I strive to build trust with every patient by focusing on their individual goals and needs and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their care at Amberwell.” Her thoughtful and empathetic approach helps patients feel valued and respected.

About Estacia Sinclair
Outside of work, Estacia enjoys spending time on her family’s farm with her husband and children. Together, they raise livestock, plant crops, and stay active with 4-H activities. One of their favorite local events is the annual Christmas party held at the Senior Center in Effingham, where the children help organize bingo games, and hand out snacks and prizes —a tradition that brings them closer to their community.
