McGarrett M. Groth, DO

Dr. McGarrett Groth has been physician with Amberwell Health since 2012. Dr. Groth grew up in Northeast Kansas and is fulfilling his lifelong goal to provide full-spectrum care to the residents of Northeast Kansas and its surrounding areas. Dr. Groth serves as a hospitalist at Amberwell Atchison. In 2018, he was nominated for an employee recognition award for his excellence in patient care.

Dr. Groth grew up in northeast Kansas and is fulfilling his goal to provide medical care to the region. His first exposure to the medical field was while working in his father’s veterinary clinic in Hiawatha. “It’s been a lifelong goal of mine to bring full-spectrum medical care to the residents of northeast Kansas and surrounding areas,” said Dr. Groth. ‘it’s great to be close to home and be able to provide quality, comprehensive care in a place I know well.”

Dr. Groth received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Via Christi Family Medicine Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and participating in sports.
