Robin Alexander, CRNA

Robin Alexandar, CRNA, is a nurse anesthetist at Amberwell Hiawatha. Prior to joining Amberwell, Robin had sixteen years’ experience as a CRNA in Nebraska. “I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and the varying degrees of difficulty that go along with the day-to-day of being a CRNA,” said Robin. “No two cases are alike. I love putting patients at ease and helping them get through their surgeries and procedures safely and then monitoring them as they begin their journeys to recovery.”

On Choosing Amberwell…

Robin was first drawn to Amberwell Hiawatha because of its location. “My family and I live nearby in Falls City, Nebraska, and commuting just twenty minutes to work is very convenient,” said Robin. “Then, I got to know the people and the atmosphere at Amberwell Hiawatha,” she continued, “and I’m excited to be there. Everyone is welcoming. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working there.”

On Becoming a Healthcare Provider…

Robin’s brother influenced her decision to become a healthcare provider. “My older brother was a physician assistant while I was still in high school,” said Robin, “and he would invite me to job shadow with some of the people he worked with to see if I might be interested in a career in healthcare. I got to shadow a variety of healthcare professions during that time and CRNA was the most interesting and exciting to me.”

About Robin

Robin lives with her husband and three teenage children in Falls City, Nebraska. The children keep the family extremely busy. “At this stage in our lives, our kids are our hobbies,” joked Robin. “Much of our free time is spent juggling sporting events and all the other activities the kids are involved in.” The family has one dog and several cats that enjoy the freedom of living outdoors on rural land.
